WHEAt and barley Legacy for Breeding Improvement

IWC 2015 – Sidney

The International Wheat Conference 2015 will be held in Sidney, 20-25th of September.

The global wheat industry faces the challenge of a future likely to be characterised by variable environments, reduced inputs and a need to increase yields. The program will be designed to address key research and industry issues. Commencing with a national and international perspective to wheat breeding, it will continue with presentations from keynote and invited speakers addressing adaptation to environments, biotic challenges to wheat production and opportunities for end-product quality. The program will include presentations that describe the latest innovations in plant breeding technologies. Oral presentations will be given by industry representatives and selected wheat pre-breeding experts, as well as by invited presentations from experts working in related research areas outside of wheat. Poster presentations will also be well supported.

WHEALBI will be represented by many researchers at this international event. An abstract for a poster has been submitted to present whealbi to the overall wheat community.
